Information You Provide
A name, phone number, or address entered in a search form is sent to the third-party service that supplies the results. Our servers do not retain a copy of those searches. When you contact us, we receive the details in your message and use them to respond.
Automatic Technical Data
Like most hosted websites, the service records standard server-log data, including IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and timestamps. We review that information in aggregate to maintain the service and understand use of its pages. Cookies or similar tools may be used for basic analytics and, where relevant, advertising measurement.
How We Use Information
We use this limited data to operate the site, resolve technical issues, measure traffic, and improve its pages. We do not sell visitor lists or create individual visitor profiles.
External Websites
Links may lead to Shelby County or Ohio records portals, library collections, archives, and third-party search tools. The privacy rules of each destination control the information you submit there, including information supplied through sponsored search results provided by another company.
When Data Is Shared
Hosting and support providers process server logs on our behalf. Analytics or advertising partners may receive the automatic information described above. We disclose information only when valid legal process requires disclosure.
Data Security
The site uses an encrypted connection, and logs are retained only for the purposes described above. Because there are no accounts, the site does not hold a visitor password or account profile.
Visitors Under 18
This reference is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has sent us information, contact us so it can be deleted.
Your Information Choices
Ohio does not have a broad statewide consumer-privacy or data-broker deletion law comparable to those in some states. Because we keep very little, a request usually consists of checking our contact mailbox and relevant server logs, then removing information we locate. Use the Contact page to make that request. Government records maintained by Ohio, Shelby County, or Sidney are outside our control: the Ohio Public Records Act, R.C. 149.43, and the custodian's rules govern access, while correction or removal requests must go directly to that custodian.
Policy Updates
We will post any revision to this policy here. Continued use after a revision means you accept the updated policy.
